Basic Theology for Kids was written by the father-son team of Steve and David Lucas. Steve was a pastor for 18 years, serving in nearly every ministry area at some point. He holds a Masters in Christian Education from Dallas Thelogical Seminary, and a Bachelors in Biblical Studies from Piedmont Baptist College. Steve spent nearly a decade in ministry focused on children and teenagers, and presently serves at the President of The Brook Ministries, Inc., a non-profit ministry dedicated to equipping and refreshing pastors from throughout the Americas. Steve is married, has four children, and one grandson.
David Lucas is an active and articulate teenager. He holds a first-degree black belt in Freestyle Martial Arts, and enjoys singing, acting, sports and video games. He has a deep passion for God and volunteers weekly in the children's ministry at his church.
